With a wall rack you're stuck with in the event you want to change the room and decor. Wall mounts are not attractive and are partially covered up with the clothing that is hanging from them most of the time. If you're renting a house, condo or apartment you don't want to damage the wall with nail or screw holes. It also becomes a part of the real property and you can't take it with you when you move. Whereas a standing rack is attractive and can be made from many materials including metals and woods of all types.
A wall mount rack, though, is not only useful in the places mentioned beforehand. It can also be placed in the laundry room in order to sort colors before putting clothes into the washing machine. A wrought iron rack is more practical in a room like this. It can also be placed in the garage because some racks, depending on its design and customization, also provide shelves.
In the bathroom: If a wall mounted coat rack supports heavy coats, why not use it to hang bathroom towels? Mounted directly beside the shower, towels stay within reach, or it can be mounted on the door, if you prefer. Whereas towel bars only accommodate a couple of bath towels, a coat rack with four hooks conveniently holds the whole family's towels. Finding a fun design to match most bathroom decor is easy, whether a whimsical fish or seashell design, or fabulous floral, is more your taste.
